The Macau ESG Awards 2025

The France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) proudly announced the winners of The Macau ESG Awards 2025 during the FMCC Charity Gala Dinner on 19th September 2025, held at MGM Macau. The awards celebrated outstanding contributions in Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), recognizing leaders who are setting benchmarks for ESG excellence and shaping a sustainable future for Macau and the Greater Bay Area.

Award Categories:

Best Project

Recognizes a project showcasing significant ESG impact through innovation, measurable outcomes, and long-term sustainability. It engages stakeholders, aligns with Macau’s goals, and demonstrates scalability, supporting the city’s vision for a greener and more sustainable future.


Best SME – Brought by Yonyou
Honors an SME integrating ESG into its core strategy, promoting ethical conduct, employee well-being, and community support. The company contributes to the local economy while actively tracking and enhancing ESG performance.


Best NGO – Brought by BNU
Acknowledges an NGO effectively addressing environmental or social challenges with transparency and collaboration. The organization demonstrates measurable impact, community well-being, and creative problem-solving.
 

Macau ESG Awards 2025 Winners:

Best Project – Winner: RecyCard

RecyCard tackles Macau's integrated resorts waste challenge by transforming discarded playing cards into recycled pulp. This innovative project employs compact, modular equipment to process tens of tons of cards generated daily by gaming establishments. By optimizing processes to overcome traditional recycling limitations, RecyCard produces internationally compliant recycled pulp, creating a circular economy solution for a waste stream previously destined for incineration and significantly contributing to Macau’s circular economy goals.

Best SME - Winner: JC Human Resources Consulting

JC Human Resources Consulting, established in 2012, serves Fortune 500 companies and SMEs across Macau and the Greater Bay Area. Their ESG framework encompasses family-friendly workplace policies, paperless operations, and community initiatives promoting youth employability and women's workforce reintegration. With 20+ industry awards since 2017, they have educated 10,000+ students on sustainability while raising over MOP 338,000 for social and environmental causes.

Best NGO - Winner: Society of Food & Environmental Health (Macao)

The Society of Food & Environmental Health (Macao) is a volunteer-driven NGO uniting food safety and environmental health professionals. Operating without paid staff, they've organized 65+ events reaching 2,200+ participants since 2020. Their pioneering initiatives include Macau's first food safety management system training, innovative food waste upcycling solutions, and influential policy recommendations. Their efficient volunteer model ensures 100% of donations directly support program delivery.

· Mr. José Carlos Matias - Director, Macau Business & Macau News Agency

· Mr. Rutger Verschuren - Chairman, France Macau Chamber of Commerce

 

Chairman’s Message
