From Lab to Market: Bridging Academia and Industry for Startup Success

On July 30th, we had the pleasure of inviting Dr. Yu Ming Tang, Resident Fellow at the University of Macau’s Cheng Yu Tung College, at The FMCC Breakfast Talk Rendez-Vous. Dr. Tang shared insights on bridging the gap between academia and industry for startup success. Drawing from his extensive experience in materials science, nanotechnology, and entrepreneurship, Dr. Tang Shared with the audience insights as why many promising research breakthroughs fail to reach commercialization and how to overcome these challenges. He presented details of proven strategies for transforming academic innovations into successful businesses, from securing funding to building scalable models in Macau and the Greater Bay Area.
