FMCC partners with Macau Deaf Association (MDA) in support of the Deaf Community Education
This year, FMCC is proud to support the Monday Sign Language Channel Project, an initiative designed to empower young deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals by providing them with the opportunity to serve as programme hosts and advocates for sign language culture. Through active participation and public engagement, the project helps participants develop confidence, communication skills, and greater visibility within the community, while fostering wider awareness and understanding of deaf culture.
By supporting this initiative, FMCC reaffirms its commitment to building a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable society, where every individual has the opportunity to contribute, participate, and thrive.
The project is implemented in partnership with the Macau Deaf Association (MDA), a non-profit organisation established in 1994 and dedicated to serving Macau's deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Through its Hearing Centre and Deaf Services Centre, MDA provides lifelong education, social support, employment assistance, and sign language interpretation services. For more than three decades, the Association has played a vital role in advancing accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in Macau.
