The Portuguese presence in Macau dates back to the early 16th century, with the settlement quickly becoming a must-stop port for Portuguese merchants along lucrative trade routes in the region. By late 19th century, global and regional geopolitical developments marked a sharp turn in the established norms and by the 20th century, Macau saw Portuguese military presence at an all height level. During this exclusive dinner, be fascinated by the stories of Macau military history expert, Mr. Ricardo Borges, and discover how the Portuguese prepared for their challenges in an unprecedented study.
